as many of you know, I have had some challenges in keeping up with all my social and online sites for awhile now as i have been attending to family. therefore i am making some changes to madeleine’s Craft Room to be able best attend to family aND still teach and create with my crafting community. Nothing will change in regards to my classes and live stamping every thursday as teaching, sharing and creating with you is what i love to do! I have my Stampinup website which has not only my store but all my classes and I share and post on you Tube, Facebook and Pinterest. My Blog also has all that information and it takes a lot of time to post here and keep everything up to date and so i will be shutting down my Blog in the next few weeks. This way I won’t be so overwhelmed and I can still provide you with lots of content and inspiration! Thanks for your patience and understanding with these changes.

It is amazing what you can do by using just DSP to create your cards. This is the new “To Market” DSP with a variety of fruits, vegetables, flowers, baskets/bags and designs. During yesterday’s Facebook Live we made this cute dog in a dog house using the cute stamp set “Pet’s & More” which is an online exclusive Stampin’ Up product. Then I used the new Birdhouse Dies in new upcoming 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue to create this cute dog house for the dog. We made the one on the left but one of our Crafters Penny suggested that we put their name instead of a sentiment and so I tried it looks great, what do you think? Thanks Penny and everyone for your participation and ideas. You can watch the video on my You Tube channel for all the details.

This card is the one I made with the Birdhouse dies into a proper birdhouse and it is also showing the wood grain designer paper that comes with this country woods suite coming in the new catalogue.

During our Live stamping class this week we started with a simple card and then “stepped it Up” using the “Fluffiest Friends Bundle” (online Ex) Card #1 Thick White Cardstock, Bubblebath cardstock to cut out small Rectangle (I used a scrap of white cardstock that I inked the bunny in black Momento and then used the following blends to color (smokey Slate Lt, color lifter, Delightful Daffodil Dk and Real Red Lt. Used bubblegum ink with a blending brush and Pastel sequins as embellishments.

Card #2 White Cardstock for card base, bubblebath cardstock to cut largest rectangle from “Radiating Stitches Dies” (Online Ex) and the smaller white rectangle from the “Everyday Detail Dies” and stamp the flowers with black Moments in, and color with Bubblebath, Delightful Daffodil Blends. Use another scrap of white cardstock and stamp the bunny with the above details from card 1. Die cut the small grass die with granny apple green cardstock. Use bubblebath ribbon to put around pink layer and make a bow.

Recently I went to a Team Meeting where Juliet taught us how to make this background using Granny apple Green and lost lagoon. I was able to cut out 8 pieces that I made into a tag and then placed on a card as you see below and then you will also see one that I made for the focus on my card.

During this weeks live stamping we learnt a background technique using a Brayer, stamps and ink. Start with a piece of vanilla cardstock and use the brayer with at least 2 different colors that work well together. We used the Notes of Nature Stamp Set and Seaside Bay Stamp Set to make neutrals images in the background and then the bird and seashells as a focus with black Momento. For the background on this one, i used balmy blue, pool party and boho blue with the brayer. Then i used smokey slate stamped off, gray granite and Azure Afternoon stamped off. Here is the make and take that I did with Barb’s team on the weekend. The daisies work really well for this shaker card and love the wheelbarrow of flowers as I can’t wait for Spring!

This is the card that we made with this background Stamp called “Dog Friendly”. A Dog Lovers will love that this stamp has so many breeds so that you can feature your or someone’s special dog. I will show you a few other ways to use this background stamp and here are 2 other cards that I had made.

Last Thursday’s Facebook Live, we had fun with using DSP with Embossing folders. These are some of the samples of the fun ways to use Designer Series Paper that are run Through the cut and embossing machine with these embossing folders. You can see the video on my you tube channel.

Below I used the surfboard die and put it through the embossing folder to make really nice designs to make unique surfboards.

During this week’s live stamping we made a simple book fun fold card using the adorable “Just Kiddin’ designer series paper” in the mini 2024 catalogue and is Available for a free salabration item until the end of february 2024. During our last stamping live class to started with this simple card and then stepped it up using the beautiful “Notes of Nature” Bundle. the measurements for the simple card is: Pecan Pie Cardstock 8 1/2″x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″, “Nature’s Sweetness Designer series paper” 3″ x 4″, smallest deckled rectangle die in white cardstock, cork embellishments

Measurements for this Avid card is: the same as Above and copper distressed paper 4 1/4 x 3 1/4, White cardstock 4 1/2 x 3 1/2, 2 1/8 x 1 1/4 for layer for the sentiment. Copper distressed paper for leafy dies from the Notes of Nature, and sparkle gems

This is the NEW brayer with the NEW “Thoughtful Expressions” Hybrid embossing folder that not only embosses and cuts but it also stamps the outline of the words. It is so great to be able to do a whole sheet in various colors and that way you have ready sentiments for your cards. can you see the ones that i just cut and embossed and the ones that i embossed, cut and stamped? I am having so much fun using the brayer and of course i always enjoy coloring embossing folders and the brayer makes it so easy!

In our live stamping class Tonight we tried this cute rocking card template using the new bird designer series paper and the cute “cradled in Love” stamp set.

Sorry that you have not heard from me as much lately as i have been helping my Mom through a difficult time and I have been staying at her place. I had a little time to decorate a little at my home today before going back to Moms. My seasonal tree has changed from blue to my gold and silver tree. Do you have a special themed tree?

Can’t resist showing another gingerbread man card! This was one of the cards that we made at our recent Coffee and Cards Class. We used the adorable and very Versatile “Sending Cheer” Bundle.

You need to stamp the image on vellum with stazon. Allow time to dry and then turn over before using blends to color images. In photo one, you can see that the back side does not look great, but when you turn it back to the front it looks amazing. Be sure to mount the velum on white cardstock.

In Thursday’s Live Stamping, we made this simple fun fold template for a card that you can use with almost any stamp set. You can watch the video on my facebook page or on you tube to see how and you will see the former card template that was used for a valentine card.

This beautiful card was made with the Leaf Fall 3D embossing Folder and the All about Autumn Designer Paper. Below are the fall leaves that I saw today during my walk.

At this month’s team Meeting, we had a chance to try these beautiful mask! We all had so much fun using the 4 stencils/masks which is in the mini/holiday Catalogue to make these sunflowers. The card on the left is the one I made and I choose to fussy cut the flowers and layer them. On the right is a swap card that I received from Avery Murphy.

Once a month, I lead a group for individuals with disabilities at my church called Friendship Club, and this month we made these cute little pumpkin turkeys.

These are a few more samples from my video/live yesterday. This is the beautiful Berry Harvest background stamp. The top left stamping was coloured with watercolour pencils and bottom left was with stampin’ blends. The bottom right is Berry Burst ink on Berry Burst Cardstock. On the right is the card that I made with the Berry Burst Cardstock and I collared the black and white ribbon with Blackberry Bliss stampin’ blends to match the card base.
